Define "gaming mat," please.

I use painted EPA foam mat's (3 different terrain types depicted), as well as short nap, green indoor/outdoor carpet. Not sure if any of these count. Cheers!

Probably zero, but it depends on your definition.

A bunch and more at the store. I even have a wings of glory mat in stock.

3+, one felt and two printed ones. May have more felt i haven't used for quite a while.

For miniatures gaming, 0 "mats".

However, I have 3 cloths: green felt, a fleece brown "tie-dye" cloth that looks like a desert, and black "glitter" felt for space gaming.

For Wings of War/Glory I have a poster-quality paper printed map (with creases, alas).

For the boardgame 878 AD, I have a large cloth "mat" (I guess you'd call it) that I can use instead of the gameboard.

And that's about it.

EDIT: Forgot that I have the cloth sea mat that came with Dreadfleet. So I guess 1 official miniatures "mat"?

My table is covered with a "buff" automotive cloth, from "back in the day". I cheerfully do not enforce bans on food and spills. Because? I want to see variants.
I also have a Battle Masters map for 1/72 aeroplanes, which I haven't used in 10 years.
I have a Cigar Box mat which worked for a single AWI battle. It's very pretty, but if I add terrain to it…
I was donated a large cloth, streaked blue and white, which I have used for Pirates, but I have Moby Dick coming up.

I have more, which I will probably never get around to.

No idea. A bunch of felt, sometimes painted. 3/8" plywood, painted on both sides. Whole books of paper mats for skirmishes, not to mention stuff from comventions and repurposed tactical A&A and Battletech boards.

About 45.
The arrival of properly coloured and detailed wargames mats has been a great revolution for me.
I have thrown away all of my TSS tiles etc.

15 to 20 felt mats. Either from Monday Night Productions or JoAnns. All I know for sure is I have 3 plus tubs of them. I need to go find a good red for Mars.

I haver several bught ones, but none that were sold as a gaming mat.

I tried not to spill stuff on mine and it's not as good.

Four commercial ones, two matching pairs that is.

Three I made myself for a 12x6 game.

I'm not counting generic fleece and felt that I use for creating hexless terrain. Those are just generic bolts of fabric cut down to 8'-10' lengths, not really "gaming mats".

Counting mats but not boards, but including eraseable RPG game mats, non-writeable game mats, and excluding tile systems. Also includng my vinyl pool table cover which is a mottled green selected specifically for gaming on. And not counting colored cloths which I only ever used as game mats but don't use now.

I have 30+ game mats, most of them from Cigar Box. Half of them suitable for the desert and the other half common green for Europe and North America.
