I am not liking the photo-etched parts. Very fiddly to work with, and easy to nick up the fingers if not careful. |

I think it looks cool! Now you'll need some AA guns and machine guns mounted on trucks to protect it! My quick research indicates these balloons operated at heights of up to 5,000 feet and that expert "balloon busters" were careful not to fly closer than 1,000 feet from the ground as to avoid AA fire. I wonder how long it took a winch to reel it back in to a safe distance from the ground? |
