Wargaming the Sudan 1883-1885: Do you recreate historical battles, or do you game hypotheticals mixing up the units of different columns for a generic game? Same as is done with, say, Napoleonics, we game battles that are made from our collections, and occasionally a historical refight.

Average result: 32% historical games, 68% hypothetical games

That's pretty obvious from all of the Khartoum games where the city is portrayed as being walled, which it was not.
