Looks like it is thru Rebel Minis at WargameVault.

I thought 5150 was a 2-Hour Wargame ruleset, which is seems to be.

So what is up with this rule set, and how is it different from any other 5150 product?

Thanks!

Yes 5150 is a THW title. Ed sells them direct on the THW site for a while then moves/sells them to Rebel Minis after a while. I don't know the details, but I assume they have a deal worked out. Mike w/ Rebel Minis has been to some conventions with Ed.

I bought Dark Planet. Printed it out and cut up the markers/tokens. It's sitting on my desk, unread and unplayed. Soon, very soon….

So is it a 5150 adventure? Or a complete rules and background that is different from the 5150 'verse?

Thanks.

It's more of an adventure book, has 7 missions on top of the standard patrol/attack/defend. The shooting table and melee tables are different from 5150 (both sides roll 2d6 vs REP and compare instead of roll 2d6, add and look up on the table). Fewer modifiers and faster results. Factions are: Gangers, Earth Force, Cultist and Forsaken. It's in the 5150 universe, Earth is expanding away from Gaia and finding 'strange new worlds'.

The goal is to build a team and try to survive your last 2 years of enlistment (2-4 missions per month), with increasing/decreasing REP as you go.
