Lots and lots of updates to the ECW Travelogue in recent months. North Yorkshire, including a very nice exhibition about the siege of Helmsley castle, and the 'near death' of Tom Fairfax link Herefordshire and the only surviving ECW mortar link Amsterdam: the English in exile, and maybe one or two very famous paintings of C17th military groups… link Edinburgh, the Covenanter capital link |
