That. Is. Amazing! Raindrops…how much more realistic can you get? And rain dripping off harnesses, manes, tails, and scabbards….

These fellows – and the horses – look perfectly miserable, as they should.

One of the best dioramas I've ever seen. There is a tremendous amount of talent and imagination on display here.

Thank you, Armand

That is a great diorama. I have never seen rain portrayed in a diorama before. Not just muddy but actual rain effects. Amazing!

That is not only unique but excellently executed.

Even the horses look miserable.

Brilliant.

Fantastic and there are so may other images on the same site to view. Water effects I always find tricky, but raindrops….amazing

So, the rain in Orlean falls mainly on the train?

Shagnasty Supporting Member of TMP26 Aug 2024 6:41 a.m. PST

Go stand in the corner and think what a bad citizen you are!

That would severly cut into my misanthropy time…

More than the exquisite details of rain, this peice exudes what a merde-filled day these dudes are having.

These gents are just superb and available from many sources, as 3D prints. I had some pulling a forge and a medical wurst (which I converted to an ammo wagon as the former would have been an anachronism for Waterloo. They are big for 1/72 (often wondered if 20mm is the same thing?) but actually fit in well with other makes, esp the metals (other than Franznap, which are very slender indeed)

More limbers and some ADCS Napoleonic

" Four more 3d printed Napoleonic French transport teams and three MDF limbers from warbases. In addition there are two French mounted command and two Austrian mounted command. These are the second wave of limbers, the team without a limber gets added to a limber team to signify horse artillery. I really liked these 3d prints I got off etsy, good detail and largely matching Perry in size, you get three two horse teams plus limber, traces and an artillery piece with three barrel options, the wheels are a bit big and the carriage is a bit small but you will see some of them crewed up in the not too distant future and at £13.00 GBP including postage something of a bargain especially as there are no lines. The command chaps are here as ADCs as when you have to send a command beyond a certain distance in Valour and Fortitude you need to send a messenger, not essential but we decided it was a nice touch, the Austrians are spare Victrix Colonels while the French are assembled from a variety of Perry/ warlord/Victrix spares, the joys of plastic kits! Painted in my usual slap dash single colours on a black undercoat,no highlights or fancy washes here I'm afraid, fast and dirty being my favoured format…"

I think he is far too modest about his skills. These look great and I can imagine in 28mm they might well match Perrys. In 20mm they are big chunky lads compared to their peers, but they are terrific.

French Artillery Green? You cannot beat Vallejo WWII USSR uniform green, withan Agrax Earthshade wash

Armand – The first image was really impressive and it was a level of painting and high standard that I could never reach. But I was not really impressed at all by the images in the last lot posted on the 27th.

That is a first for me, outstanding work
