Hundred Kingdoms started, as I recall, as a 28mm fantasy mass-battle wargame where anyone could dream up a new race/faction, which led to a rather eclectic bunch of official figure ranges (Simian ape-people, Panthera cat-people, a Bushido tribe, a folk horror tribe, and I don't know what else).

It seemed to change ownership, and then relaunched as a skirmish wargame called Warband (same figures).

Then the owners seemed to lose interest in 100K, and started casting fan-sculpted figures. Until that ended too.

This was somehow connected to a game store that is now out of business.

Anyone know whatever became of the figures (or the molds), and the game rights? Seems a shame for the whole thing to fade away.

I remember the simians being pretty cool, but I thought that range was long dead and buried. I didn't know about the additional information.

I always liked The Hive miniatures. This was originally Black Orc Games, right?

Yes, I believe so.

I still have the lizardmen warband. Very nice figures.

I have a few of the Simians. Always thought they were cool. Had more but sold them all. Check with Noble Knight games, they bought my old ones and may have them for sale!

Side story but Black Orc cast my first mini. That was a long time ago! I liked the 100K range and I believe Bob Murch from Pulp Figures sculpted the Bushido dudes.

I had the Simians and loved the figures. They were destroyed in a basement flood. Still, regret losing them.

I still have some in stock. What are you looking for as I used carry them to the big conventions in the USA. Contact me at:

battlefield_designs at rogers dot com
AND title it 100 Kingdoms Figures.

The tribes were:
Panthera
Simian
Hive (Armed Insects)
Bashido
Saurian
Kingdom of Avalon
Circus Freaks
Centaurs

They started Snake tribe with Medusa

I have an incomplete Crocodile tribe and Egyptian Anubis tribe started as well.
