I'm looking for a modest sized 28mm armored personnel carrier to drop off and support heroic sized 28mm figures. So they aren't necessarily tall, but they are robust in sculpting.

My favorite candidate thus far, is the old plastic Games Workshop Rhino, which looks pretty cool and doesn't take up a huge amount of table space. I've been looking around at resin printing, mostly at ETSY.

I've also looked around on Fb and eBay for the old Rhino models.

I've found a few possibilities, but nothing ideal.

There were some Old Crow models I liked, but he shut down his shop before I was ready to purchase them.

I checked Pig Iron, but there's not as many vics as I remembered.

If anyone has some suggestions about a suitable vehicle, especially in the printing world which is hard to find things in, IMHO, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Why not use an M113? It's what the Rhino is based on anyway. Here's a nice one on Etsy – link

cuz, well, I know what M113's are, and it would remind me of my day job.

Part of the fun of sci fi is that is it similar but not the same to reality. Also, there are a number of good alternative choices at the $25 USD level that I have found.

Daemonscape miniatures, can be found on eBay, have GZGs old resin vehicle line so on the smaller side being designed for 25mm but they might have something. Also Mantic have released a few more armoured vehicles relatively recently – some of which are in the armoured-box category.

Mantic do several vehicles, that might suffice. My favourite though that might be a little too big for you is by Archon Studios, a sort of odd school vehicle between a leon russ tank and a rhino apc. Mantic do a wonderful small Lander capable of dropping a squad into action.

This series might fit the bill. You will need someone to help you 3D print it though.

Check out some of the other vehicles from this collection also. Some are free. Others are cheap.

I am a little late to this conversation, but I recently picked up a couple of the Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron Imperial Troop Transports from a local Ross store for $13 USD each (in fact, several local Ross stores had a pile of them). Definitely of a suitable size for table-top use.

If it doesn't have to be a front-line fighting type vehicle, you could also consider the Disney Lightyear Star Command Emergency Vehicle. It basically looks like an armored truck. I also picked up two of these; one to paint as a delivery truck with some graffiti on it, and one to do up as a police or SWAT vehicle. I believe Goonhammer has several conversions of this vehicle posted as well.
