I'm looking for rules sets for raiding forces of 25-60 figures that include chariots. So far as I can see, chariots come in three colors:
1) Chariots carrying archers (like the Egyptians)
2) Chariots that have melee types, spears and swords to attack people as they rush by
3) Battle taxis, as some writers suggest the Achaeans and Trojans used in the Iliad.

I'd like to see the rules handle the different types of chariots.

I would also be interested in descriptions of how the chariots worked and were used.

"Infamy! Infamy" centers around Romans vs. Gauls, and features chariots. I'm new to the rules, but their primary purpose is more a rally point and a morale booster than charging into masses with scythes.

And I happen to know one or two people in the CSHAG are currently regarding these rules, if you'd like to see them!

The new "One Hour Ancient and Medieval Skirmish Wargames" includes rules for chariots.

Wargames Soldiers and Strategy Issue #82 had a homebrew variant of Lion Rampant, Chariot Rampant, which supported light and heavy chariots and chariot runners.

Saga has chariots. There are battle taxis for the pics and British Islanders. There are scythed chariots for the Persians. The Indians have both light ( archery) and heavy ( melee) chariots.
No one would confuse Saga with hard core history but it is a well thought out system that has more history than many people give it credit for.
