There is a new edition out imminently (3rd in Sept 2024), I would not bother with the old edition FAQ.

I'm still on the fence about 3rd ed. So far, it looks like they are moving to more complexity. Not sure I like that.

Here's one that's simple, but confounding, to me at least:
Can anti-tank guns be employed against infantry?
This happened to me while playing FOW many years ago and I was a bit miffed but I went along with it. They do have HE after all. I just thought HE had to actually hit something solid to be effective.

The American 37mm could fire canister as they did at Guadalcanal and elsewhere. Bazookas were used against infantry in the Pacific.

I am not doing 3rd Edition. I will switch rules or get out of the period first.

Not sure what the local guys will do. Some will probably begrudgingly switch. I'm contemplating getting back into it, but I'll wait and see on the rules. As mentioned above, some of the gamer community will stay with the 2nd edition and some will go with the 3rd. I don't think we will see what I saw with FOW, and that is gamers dumping their entire collection because of edition changes.

I've been following the changes. So far all of them (I'm not exaggerating- all of them) seem to improve the game.
