Great posting. Glad you won all three, as clearly the objective was well defined. "Winning" was a very elusive concept in VN I think. OK, as long as you win on the field and occupy it, that day, then that is a victory. But, even then, tomorrow that field will be abandoned, maybe they took far more casualties, but yours are less "acceptable" back home, plus they will be back somewhere else tomorrow. |
