I recently moved my office and somehow misplaced my copy of Practical Wargaming. Eventually I will find it but if anyone can help out with the basing scheme (Napoleonics) for:

Russian Line
Russian Jaeger
Russian Heavy Cav
Austrian infantry

I would GRRRRRRReatly appreciate it.

I know the Russian infantry is 13 figs but I do not remember the scheme nor number of flags, and I think Russian Jaegers is 20 figures on 9 x 2 and 2 x 1 bases, But I may be rusty.

Thanks!

Russian Line 13 figures 10 men, 1 officer, one SB 1 drummer. 3 stands of 3 1 stand of 2, 1 stand of 1.
Russian Jaeger 13 figures 10 men, officer, SB and bugler 6 stands of 2 and 1 stand of 1.
Russian Line Cavalry 19 figures: 16 men, 1 officer, 1 SB 1 bugler. 9 stands of 2 and 1 stand of 1.
Austrian Line Fusiliers 30 figures--27 men, officer, SB, Drummer. 9 stands of 3, 1 stand of 2 and 1 stand of 1.
Austrian Grenadiers 20 figures--17 men, officer, SB and drummer. 6 stands of 3 and 2 stands of 1.
Austrian Jaegers 18 figures--15 men, officer, SB and bugler--on 18 single-casting stands.

I love straightforward questions where I can look up the answer.

Wait….. I thought the Russian line command stand was 1 stand of 4? 3 stands of 3 1 stand of 2, 1 stand of 1 only adds up to 12.

Ah! My apologies. Russian line command stand is indeed 1 stand of 4--for some reason one (the standard-bearer) in the front rank and three in the rear, which may have thrown me off. That's the excuse I'm going with, anyway.

Bear with me. I do play a lightly modified Wesencraft--but the corps level game, and I standardized the bases. Anyway Napoleonic Russians have been abusing me for a week or two, and may for yet another two. (A friend sent me home with a few boxes "in need of a little work"--about 700 28/30mm, some of them bare metal. At the moment, I am one with Charles XII, Napoleon I and a certain Austrian gefreiter. Just too many Russians.)
