I've been using fender washers for 20ish years. Everything but my earliest WFB armies are based upon them. I don't want to change now. But suddenly both Lowes and Home Depot have stopped carrying 3/4" fender washers. Menards can mail order, but shipping is insanely expensive. The only Ace hardware around doesn't stock them, and I'm not aware of any FLGS-equivanent in the hardware store domain in my area. Does anyone have a reliable way to get more, without spending an arm & a leg in shipping costs? (I am a big fan of Litko, but I usually save them for the polygonal bases that I don't use quite as often. :D ) |

Ask Ace to order them. Any electrical or plumbing supply places nearby? |

I lucked up. I looked for small town hardware stores to have sales or go out of business. I got a thousand for a penny each. |

Some Ace Hardware stores carry them, and some don't. If there is someplace you go with some frequency (visiting wife's family, or quarterly business trip, for instance) check out their Ace stores. If you find one that stocks them, just plan to buy a bunch when you visit. Grelber |

If you're in the US, simply use pennies as an alternative. They're 3/4 of an inch across and as cheap as cheap can get. |
Shagnasty | 01 Aug 2024 6:16 a.m. PST |
Yes but pennies and copper are not susceptible to magnetism. |
79thPA | 01 Aug 2024 6:50 a.m. PST |
True, but the OP didn't say he was worried about sticking them to magnets. |

Went thru my local Ace Hardware today to get some electrical fittings. I strolled down the hardware aisle and found all sorts of fender washers, loose, packets of 4 and boxes. Loose ran about 25 cents each, packets were expensive at $2.99 USD for 4, and a box of 100 was $18.99 USD. The local Farmers Co-op also has hardware at about the same prices, they just don't have the selection. |

I like Walmart because the packs have either 8 or 11 for around a dollar. The price difference depends on the thickness. |

I go to Rural King to get fender washers. They sell them by the pound. It doesn't matter what size you need they are all the same price per pound so if you need a few of another size just toss them in the bag. |
