Exeter, I traced it back to the original post. So nearly as I could make out, eto was talking about campaign games, but the initial question was a little obscure, and the initial title--"The Attraction is in the Action!"--downright opaque. Maybe you have to have some sort of RPG element? Possibly game sessions without miniatures? Odd. Eto is generally clearer than that.

If it's not that, I don't know. Even GW has a "milieu" of sorts, and Blasthof Bridge and Sittangbad have background stories. It's inherent in historical miniatures. The only exceptions I can think of are ancients tournaments and such.
