youtu.be/Jxfb1z7sviU I found the attention to detail incredible. I would not have the patience. The engine in particular is precision engineering…. |

I can't effing believe it. Notice the guy never seems to measure the finest details, just working by eye. The most amazing woodworking I've ever seen. TVAG |

That is tedious work, amazing to pull it all together. A few years ago I think in Russia a bunch of guys made a Panzer Mk1 full scale in wood. |

I can't get over how he does a straight line every time without a ruler, all free hand. And drilling the hinge and then inserting a pin joining each piece of track. Just unbelievable! |

Crazy. My dad was from Wayne, Michigan. He said my grandfather was a woodworker. I believe he made model cars for an auto manufacturer in the 1930-40s. I wish I had one of his models. I only met him once when I was about 4 years old and being kind of creeped out by the fact that he was missing a number of digits. The big bandage on this guy's thumb triggered that memory. @ etotheipi: Looks about right for a G.I. Joe! I've heard of people doing Bolt Action with 1/6th scale dolls – er, I mean – "action figures." |

Let's just say the video was an experience. On the extremely positive side. |

I had a look at my pile of wood off cuts in my shed, and decided a 3d print would be quicker and easier. I had to watch it again in case I had missed anything. |
