Sd.Kfz. 251/7 I – Pionierpanzerwagen. assault engineer vehicle; this had fittings to carry assault bridge ramps on the side
question these bridge ramps what kind of weight of vehicles could they handle?
were they more for anti tank ditches?

They are shown as 8-ton, which I would imagine would be their load carry capacity.

"There were two versions of the medium armoured engineer vehicle (Sd. Kfz. 251/7). The group vehicle 1, 3, 5 and the group vehicle 2, 4, 6. These differed in terms of their engineer equipment and armament. Series production began in 1941 with version C. Two 8t transition rails were carried on the vehicle. This vehicle of version C belonged to the 7th Panzer Division. The photo was taken at the end of 1942 during the occupation of southern France."

German title for the equipment appears to be Übergangsschienen. Couldn't find anything specific on them.
