Both countries today, together and at the same time? Odd timing or coincidence?

"The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said it sent out fighter jets to intercept two Russian and two Chinese aircraft off the coast of Alaska on Wednesday.

NORAD confirmed that it detected and tracked two Russian Tu-95 "Bear" bombers and two Chinese H-6 bombers operating in the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).

The agency sent fighter jets from the United States and Canada to intercept all four aircraft. "

There is n alliance that has been made between Russia and China that is now trying to push on the US.

China: "Look over here!" (Alaska) Then invades Taiwan…

Must have been interesting flights -- the Chinese jet bomber at near stall speed and the Russian bomber at max throttle.

I don't remember both China and Russia doing a combined flight pushing the envelope close to the US border. The Russians were famous for doing this all the time.

But now they are testing US capabilities, response, resolve, etc. Letting the US know they see the US as weak …

God, I hope we are not as weak as our enemies think we are!

From what I have read the force composition was two Russian Tu95 and two Chinese H6. All four of these are bombers.
There was also Russian fighter cover with Su-30SM and Su-35S. I don't have the number of fighters, but I would imagine at least two of each.
They did come into the Norad ADIZ, but had a right to be there. They were met by CF-18s, F35s and F16s.

Remember the Chinese balloon that floated peacefully above the US. Now this.

They were met by CF-18s, F35s and F16s.
I would expect nothing less. The enemy aircraft would be shadowed by US and Canadian fighters. It is kind of like a big game of chicken. But we cannot get complacent and be vigilant. For obvious reasons …

And yes the Chinese balloon incident was pretty bad. Not as bad as the A'stan withdrawal debacle. But still our enemies noted these failures of US leadership … And they are keeping count.
