I've always been a fan of FASA's old Renegade Legion line of games so when they relaunched Interceptor (under the Aetherstream tag) recently I had to grab a copy – so far it looks like a lot of fun and the starfighter minis are very nice!

Anyway, they just launched the revamped version of Leviathan (capital ship battles) via kickstarter; I hadn't seen any discussion here so I figured I'd let people know. More options is always a good thing, right?

I don't see any connection to the original games other than the name:

Roman Empire background? No
Ships you can place upside down for some 3D: no
Weapon damage affecting armor? No
Critical flowchart: No

Now that is scale creep! sorry but I'm not even going to consider playing tabletop games with a 13" ship. It needs to be on a waist high stand for gymnasium scale games.

Yeah that does seem excessive lol. Then again maybe they looked at the Star Destroyer for SW Armada which worked out okay on the table and decided they should go for it? Heck the Super Star Destroyer is at least 2' long and it's a playable 'mini' lol.
