Newly released footage confirms that the Russian Air Force has begun using three-ton glide bombs in Ukraine. While it remains uncertain just how big a role this munition will play in the war, it adds to the large and growing threat that Russian glide bombs pose to Ukrainian forces and civilians…

Current version: short range, innaccurate

I've seen some video of these and even one that was off the target by about 50 yards took out two houses and part of the building it was aiming at! It looks like over the last few weeks they've modified some parts of it and are compensating for the weight better. There's no real defense for it other than having CAP near the border to prevent the SU-34s from dropping them.

At the AFB in Pensacola, years ago, they were testing bunker busting bombs which were several tons each. The shock wave from the range could be heard off base boundaries. Some cars and houses close to the base had their alarms activated.

Yes, it is hard to say MOABs, MOPs, etc. don't have a place on the battlefield. Sometimes a whole lot of HE can be very useful. AFAIK the fear of collateral damage limited their use in A'stan[only once IIRC] and probably if ever thought they could be used in Iraq.
