So, with the new Legion rules changes, I'm out. I wasn't a huge fan of the game, but liked it enough to play and I LOVE the lore. So, are there any other rules out there that work in the Star Wars universe? A game system focused on combat more than objectives and lame movement and LoS restrictions. I'm really looking for a miniature agnostic system with already created stats for Star Wars units and characters. I've tried the Wizards of the Coast game. It's too simple for me. I've also played the old West End Games Star Wars Miniatures game and I wasn't a fan of those rules either. Thanks for any leads. |

Mine are free to download, and might float your boat? link They have a very different combat system to get the right results IMHO. |

Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game is a great game that fans have adapted to Star Wars. PM me and I can send the PDF. Over at Jay's Wargaming Madness I know he adapted Bolt Action to Star Wars and has everything posted |

I am using Legion figures, as well as figures from Stargrave and Wargames Atlantic. The rules that I am using are Space Station Zero and Stargrave |

We have used a couple of rule sets. Fistful Of Lead Galactic Heroes Xenos Rampant There are some modified lists for Grimdark Future, OPR that also look promising. I liked Galatic Heroes for a smaller skirmish game that kinda captured the feel of Legion. We used XR for battles with more figures though. It worked really well for that. |

A friend of mine told me there is a variant of Chain of Command (WW II) out there he wants to try with his Star Wars figures. |

I'll put a second or third behind Xenos Rampant. |

Xenos Rampant and Stargrave pop to mind. For a different spin, Pulp Alley will work quite well. |

"Rogue Stars" – from the Osprey games series is enjoyable, and gives lots of rules specifically compatible with Star Wars ("not-light sabres etc!) |

I did some Star Wars conversions for Mantic's Firefight Game. You can find them here if you scroll down a bit. link |
