Hi,

In the Afrika Korps & Avanti books the painting guides suggests Panzer Grey (Dunkelgrau) for chips and wear on the Panzers & Carri, Desert Rats & Armoured Fist don't have such a helpful guide, so does anyone have info on what would be a primer or undercoat colour to use for British Armour?

Thanks

I'd hazard a guess at British Army Deep Bronze Green, if only because that's the default base colour for British tanks.

I'll do a bit more digging and see if I can back that up.

My brain is also pinging me with 'Canadian Armoured Acorn' that had some Brit desert schemes and had some background info as well.

If paint has chipped off, would it not just expose the steel beneath and then dark grey would soon give way to British Standard Rust?
