New 1/700 3-D prints from Turner Miniatures have been added to my collection, and in my recent post I showcase the French 40-gun frigate Coquille and her four sister ships of the Coquille-class.

In addition, I take a look at the history behind the other model featured, the rather unique, HMS Glatton 56-guns, and her famous action off the Dutch coast in 1796, single-handed against a French squadron, likely consisting of a French razee, five frigates/corvettes and a brig, under her daring commander, Captain Sir Henry Trollope.

Those are beautiful models. I have several of the Turner 3D models, but I game in 1/1200. How well do you think the models will shrink down to that scale?

A very interesting read, certainly showed the difference in aggression between opposing captains.

Beautiful models! Don't sell yourself short because the paint and rigging brings them to life.

There is another Turner range that will fit better, I think.

Hi Chaps,
Thanks for your comments, much appreciated and glad you enjoyed the post.

As for the 1/1200 option I can't comment as I only work these days on 1/700, and my appreciation can only be applied to these models in that scale, which I rate as excellent.

Cheers

monk2002,
Which range would that be?

I have printed the 1/700 at 1/1000 to match the Sails of Glory ships and they do work well. Some of the smaller ships may suffer from fragile details through.
