I wrote up a report of the Battle of Ballinvegga, our latest FK&P test game. I included a short historical introduction to give some background to the battle as it is not very well known.

The scenario will be inculded in our upcoming War of the Three Kingdoms Irish battles scenario book which we hope to finish by the end of the year.

Its posted on my very occasionally updated blog here:

Nice, great to see the Irish battles getting some attention. Any word on order of battle?

Agree with Tim, thank you for waving the flag for the overlooked/underexposed parts of the Warsof the Three Kingdoms

Indeed, many of the Irish battles are not as well known as some of the battles fought in England and Scotland during this period.

We are working with Simon Miller with a view to releasing our Irish scenario book by the end of 2024. Our interpretations of the orders of battle will be included in the scenario book.

I certainly find following both your projects very worthwhile.

Look forward to being able to see the BCW stuff back online at some stage soon. Its a very useful resource for this period so thanks for your efforts to keep it alive. I've used it alot over time and would willingly make a contribution towards the cost of its return.

Good report, Kiwi Red One. Fairly tough terrain to fight over.
