Today I published the plates covering the period of 1789 to 1815 from the series of Ludwig Behringer, published in the beginning of the 1850s. Although it is not contemporary a well-known researcher supported Behringer: Friedrich Münich. His work about the Bavarian army, published in 1862, is a must have for all "Bavarian addicts". In the text describing the series you find a link to downloadable file of this oeuvre – but yes, it is in German and printed in the old German letters. Here you find the published plates of Behringer: link … they are a good companion to the previously published Cantler plates at link Thanks to a good friend sharing the plates from his collection.
