Another cheer from the peanut gallery. I love the color and pageantry of this period. Those deep bases are a good idea. Totally agree. ZOMG I hate leveled pikes! A super-deep base is about the only way to deal with them. Wire can make them durable enough without the base, but might also actually kill the opponent.
