The Americans also tried to entice Hessian troops occupying Savannah GA to desert towards the end of the war. I have no idea whether any did successfully desert. The effort did affect the Savannah garrison which itself would have been of some benefit. |

is a big fan of the Age of Sail, and these ships really speak to him - he loves transitional eras, and the Anglo-Dutch Wars was one of those.
