"Hordes of the Things", as follows:

Stormtroopers, rebel infantry, etc as Shooters
Imperial guards, Mandaloreans, etc as Blades
Sand people, various barbarians as Warband
Militia, thugs, droids as Hordes

AT-AT, other big scary ground vehicles as Behemoths
AT-ST, medium ground vehicles as Knights
Motorbikes, ground speeders, etc as Riders

Big spaceships operating in atmosphere as Airboats or Dragons
Space fighters operating in atmosphere as Flyers

Heroes, wizards, clerics as Themselves

(nb – you'll have to ensure all elements are on a common base width)

Fistful of Lead – Galactic Heroes. Simple easy-to-play rules, very customizable, and you can use whatever minis you want. Highly recommended!

Epic Armageddon TMP link net-armageddon.org/rules.html you'll need to pull stats off various GW lists but the scale and force size looks right for your toys

someone said Dirtside 2 and are free and generic, but cant have to many options. I will review as many as i can , I should say im playing solo

Xenos Rampant. It's squad based. Just make the bases each be a miniature in the squad.

We like Galactic Heroes, Hordes of the Things is fun too. We also adapted Space Hulk to the SW universe.

is HotT based on DBM or DBA , because I'm not a fan of exact base movement and contact.

Eumelus Supporting Member of TMP10 Jul 2024 5:44 a.m. PST

HotT is a sort of fantasy DBA, so if you don't like the latter you probably won't like the former. Perhaps the other rules suggestions would be more to your taste.

I really would love to ID the models with movie appearances, EG I dont remember seeing a 3 legged walker in the movies.

Someone already said Dirtside, didn't they?

westernmini11 Jul 2024 1:42 a.m. PST

yes! i'M THINKING OF ADQAPTING RAPID FIRE THOUGH

TimePortal11 Jul 2024 4:29 p.m. PST

We use Distant World Battles which use mechanics reflective of DBA.
Interesting battles when a CAR army (Cyborgs/ Androids/ Robot) fight an Alien Hive or Parasite army.

westernmini11 Jul 2024 5:10 p.m. PST

If you think about DBA, where manovering is important, its because there are a lot of troops on one base. the units have 3 to a base , so were talking squads, I am leaning towards rapid fire but change max range to 8cm because if the smaller scale. and maybe 3 casualtier per base. all the weapons and armour work eg a walker can be 4 armour and 4 lazer.
