Greetings Fellow Gamers.
The fireworks are over, although we still have some sporadic shots in my neighborhood. We are hoping everyone enjoyed their holiday and survived with all 10 fingers intact. Painting minis is hard enough with a full hand.

We start off our July with the opening of registration for Autumn Wars and War Chest. You can purchase your badge, submit events and get your flea market tables, all in one stop. We have a great price of $10 USD, for our members for this 3 day event. Not a member? No problem you can get yours online on the same Tabletop site. We have been working on getting a slate of vendors and discount accommodations for food on-site. We also have a room block at the LaQuinta Hotel, 300 feet away. See the link for details.

Next week, we will be running another of our one-day events, Naval Wars. Hosting again on the 2nd floor at Ethereal Confections, in Woodstock, Illinois. This is a free event to all HMGS-Midwest members, and if not a member, you can join on site. After two sessions of gaming we will hold our raffle and our Pizza-Social hour. Come and join us next Sunday.

At the end July your BOD and other GMs will hosting dozens of miniature events at Gencon. Like Origins, we have been running a concerted effort to return Historical Minis to these flagship conventions. As in the past we will be partnering with Glen Simpson and the great Ottawa Red Shirt Crew.

Do not forget our usual features for local game nights, and the 2024 calendar of events. We will also be starting to publish a list of clubs, in the midwest that will be looking to add members. Every skirmish has it's casualties, so now is the time for reinforcements. If interested in being published in our newsletter, let us know.
We would need:

Name of group
Location
Times/Dates
Gaming Periods (current and desired)
POC-Information

Email your information to BOD@hmgsmidwest.com

Finally, after 8 years, I will finally be transitioning the Newsletter editing to our Secretary-Brett Fuller. Believe it our not, I have almost run out of things to say. Brett will be able add some new and exciting ideas (no pressure). That is all for now, see you next Sunday at Naval Wars (Or Gencon)
