WE HAVE MULTIPLE ARMIES IN 15MM WHICH WE USE FOR WFB 3RD EDITION. THIS WAS A BATTLE BETWEEN ME (EMPIRE), AND MY OPPONENT (DWARVES)

IT WAS A MEETING ENGAGEMENT WITH THE JUDGE SETTING THE TERRAIN. 3000 POINTS

MY ARMY CONSISTED OF
5 MAN UNIT OF THE +3 SHOCK KNIGHTS MOUNTED, WITH A 15TH LEVEL CHAMPION
2 HALBERDIER UNITS Of 20 APIECE WITH 10TH LEVEL CHAMPION
2x10 man crossbowman units no attached champions
4 x 5 man units of forest jaegers
1x10 man unit of the crossbow armed light cavalry with a 15th level champion

4 CANNONS
2x10th mages
1 20th level mage
army standard bearer with talismanic standard, ring with camouflage illusion and spell shield
Army General: (sir William) 20th level hero with parrying blade, and ring of hammerhand
all the hero's except the 10th level mages were mounts (changing that for next battle)

----------------------------------------------------------------
Sir William surveyed the battlefield. Damn the dwarves and their thick necks.

Sir Nathaniel and his Phoenix guard knights trotted onto the battlefield with their banner fluttering. He and his 5 knights ready for their charge. Two halberdier units moved to support them, with the crossbows taking a position to help support the cannon batteries. He commaded an archer unit to get as close to the tavern as he they could
His mage companion sat idle next to him concentrating on getting his spell cast before the battle was joined, he also cast some spell power into their holy standard to assist the two junior mages support their left flank which consisted of a crossbow and two jaeger units.
He could see the dwarves finally start assembling for battle…damn them. Damn them, they hired a dragon…Nordock by the looks of it. Cowards. He'd exact his price one way or another. Dwarves are known for another thing, short arms and deep pockets.
He hears some muttered oaths and gasps in the ranks….good lads they were, steady.
"Easy lads!!, If we rout them, you can only imagine the loot in their baggage trains. Stand firm. "
HE rode out a few meters and in a parade ground voice called out to the dwarves: "I give you one chance for parlay, I'm sure we can come to an arrangement.!!"

Only jeers were heard. "Very well, we gave them a chance to end this peacefully, prepare yourselves and your souls for battle. Torm protects!!"

He moved back to his battle position to the sound of hundreds of cheers and banging of weapons
Nordock took flight and leisurely flew towards the line along with their regiments of tough dwarves his line reacted and adjusted position. cannon lining up on targets
One of the cannons attempted to fire at Nordok but their crew became unmanned…poor sods

The other three wreaked havoc on some Thunderers and Iron Breakers, while Faradon covered the dwarven bolt throwers in his magical mist removing them for a while at least.
A unit of dwarves lost their nerve and started to run to the hills taking with them a pack of warhounds. Frederick and his light cavalry moved up the left flank as well.

William was watching the movement and dispositions when he noticed a lone mounted figure materializing in front of the iron breakers. Looking through his eye glass, it was not human, and even though he was immune to most fear, it still gave him chills.
An undead rider. These dwarves have obviously fallen and using necromancy.
Nordock attempted to charge his knights, but somehow failed to connect, but still made them lose their nerve and retreat for the day,* taking with them a canon battery.

Three more skeleton riders were brought forth from the dwarves. Which charged Frederick and his light cavalry. They only brought down one before making contact, one of his brave cavalrymen fell, and routed the remaining due to fear, straight towards the army standard, the undead keeping up.
Faradon once again cast his magic mist, this time onto a battery of cannons, and two additional bolt throwers, taking them out of the fight for a bit of time, meanwhile the Empire cannons exacted a terrible toll on the dwarven units moving towards him
Fireballs took care of the remaining undead riders chasing his light horse thankfully they rallied and formed for another move.
The Dwarves continued their plodding on, firing a few desultory crossbow shots which failed to hit anything
Nordock got his timing and distance together and charged the brave unit of halberdiers, which brazenly held. He may have been moving fast, but the halberdiers got the jump on him, hurting him greatly, he came back with 3 halberdiers down, but was pushed back, halberdiers bravely following up.
Three more skeleton riders were summoned and moved towards the Empire line. Along with an audible pop from the caster, William believed a magic item had fizzled out.
Empire cannons now firing in tandem with each other to save on heat rising continued to pound the line, dwarven stubbornness saving them from running from the continued shellacking
The three final undead riders were taken out from concentrated crossbow fire.
Having the dragon now on his back foot, the halberdiers made quick work of him, Downing him in a spray of gore.
Faradon final spell was cast an elemental grove grew around the dwarven caster and a unit, they sort of disappeared.
The dwarves call a halt of hostilities and backed off to count their casualties
As did William
The Phoenix guard and artillery crew sheepishly returned to the battlefield.
"We will claim this day lads, too bad we couldn't wipe more of the fallen dwarves, their decent into evil is maddening.
You all performed admirably for what was put before you. Accolades to all, and Joseph and his halberdiers have an extra ration of grog…WELL FOUGHT!!"

William would have to get word to the dwarven high council that they had a rogue sect of Dwarves running around.

15mm such a great scale for fantasy wargaming. A person can 3d print for 15mm as well! Lots of great miniatures for 15mm. Demonworld, BattleValor, Splintered light and a few others!
