I am having a hard time finding 1/72 scale humvees for wargaming Force on Force in Afghanistan and Iraq. Other than Dragon Models model kit, can anyone recommend a resin or fast build kit? I am not interested in die cast…

There is a Chinese company that makes some quick build kits. Called 4D. They list on ebay. Don't see any just now, but that's where I got mine. Only issue is they all have the TOW mount. Had to use guns from bits box.

I got the Chinese ones – fairly basic, and with what looks like an (optional) air conditioning unit on the back, but close enough for me and very cheap.

This is it, although the price seems to have gone up:

Those 4D kits are available on AliExpress too. Really basic, but for $5 USD or so, they aren't bad.

Why the diecast hate?

There are several 3D printed options. Just do the yeggi search tostart you off.

P.S. got an extra FoF Falujah by chance.

Are there diecast Humvees in 1/72, incidentally?
