"Anyone make it in that scale?"
Seeing this collection puts a smile on my face for several reasons.
First, of course, is that the figs and models have been assembled, painted and based so well. Hat's off to you, Ryan. Well done, suh!
Second is I have a real liking for the more obscure armies of WW2. KNIL (Koninklijk Nederlandsch-Indisch Leger, the Royal Netherlands-Indies Army) is one. Like, what an interesting thing to focus on! Good job putting together the kit for a viable game force.
Third is that, even with an interest in the history and the gaming, well, you face that question: "Anyone make it in my scale?"
My interest in KNIL has led me on several efforts of examination and research. But finding the kit in my scale? That's kind of hard. Seems I have only ever found the kit in … shall we say … larger scales than what I prefer to use for gaming purposes.
And for those who don't know, the Marmon Herrington CTMS light tank was designed and built specifically for the KNIL (not even for the Dutch Army in general, but specifically for the KNIL). Unhappily for me, the one I managed to find no longer had it's guns (37mm cannon or .30cal MGs) in place. So I would have had to do some kit-bashing if I wanted to play with it.
