Hello all

Sorry this is a bit of a newbie post. I am still brand new and did the usual thing of buy before I fully know what I am doing. Which is okay, and part of the fun. You move on and really, I will be sad when I figure it all out, what will be left to do? But it is a great period so far for that sort of approach to a hobby.

I am playing 10mm, and decided for my French, I want pure Pendraken just for aesthetics. I am not knocking Old Glory, and I like them for others especially Austrians for their charm that I think fits the army. But I bought a returns worth of Dragoons and Curassier in Old Glory for French a while back before I decided this.

I believe the answer, besides maybe a regiment of Italian Dragoons the answer is no, but is there any obvious non French use for these? The scale makes them very flexible, and really it is just the helmets, although they are pretty unique. No need for plates and such, I will be grateful just for some guidance.

Thanks very much.

PS apologies for the multiple posts…

Welcome AllElanNoBite to a fascinating hobby!

Cuirassiers – you could paint them & use them as Duchy of Warsaw.

Dragoons -you correctly identified Kingdom of Italy as one option. Alternatively you could paint & field them as Kingdom of Holland Dragoons or Cuirassiers or the mounted element of the Garde de Paris.

The former were short-lived and the latter may only have been planned but never completed.

Thank you guys!

That gives me some rabbit holes to start on for sure. So far I think certainly at the scale these would pass as well.

They can also be used in the Latin American wars of Liberation.
