Hello,

I am currently developing a new skirmish ruleset for warband combat during the Medieval period (roughly spanning 200-300 years from the 13th century to the 16th century. It is called Brutal Times.

The scale is 28mm and you will need a handful of era compliant miniatures (at most 13) and terrain.

The game uses a standard deck of playing cards, D6 dice, a ruler, and some paper to keep stats of your warband.

If you were a fan of Osprey's Outremer skills and class system, you will love Brutal Times. As the new lord of a swath of land, you'll need to recruit and maintain a loyal group of warriors who will fight your enemies on your behalf.

Movement is simple and combat is quick and brutal.

I am looking for playtesters who can try their hand at a few games from the first draft of these rules. Play them to the limits and let me know what you love and hate, what's missing and what doesn't make sense.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PLAYTESTING BRUTAL TIMES THEN PLEASE EMAIL brutaltimesgame@gmail.com AND I WILL SEND YOU A WATERMARKED COPY TO TEST.

THANK YOU!

Sounds interesting. Do I correctly deduce from your description a campaign system built in?

@Deucey I am working on a campaign system for the rules currently. At the moment, I am suggesting to playtesters that they should game a straight up deathmatch OR use one of the scenarios I have included in the rules. If you're interested, shoot me an email at brutaltimesgame@gmail.com and I can get you a copy to review. Or you may have already been one of the folks that emailed me?
