Adding 'The Eye of the Needle' (1981) to his many fine roles. I corresponded briefly with him in the late '80s, when he lent his support to an anti-nuclear group opposing Canada's purchase of nuclear-powered subs. I corresponded in favour of the boats; he replied against. Neither of us convinced the other. He was as eloquent in denouncing me as that smooth-talking rogue, Devlin!! |
