Hi Everyone, I have been considering purchasing a couple of battalions of Battle Honors Oldglory15s Polish infantry as Peninsular French allies, since they perhaps offer exactly the right miniatures for 3 line infantry regiments that served in Spain.

However, I have gradually become aware of a potentially complex history behind these miniatures and their moulds, and there aren't any photos on the Oldglory15s website of them. Am I risking bad karma – or simply bad castings – if I purchase some of these miniatures? Are there better alternatives?

These troops are pretty good, not as good as the original Old Glory, but better than the newer stuff. If you don't like these, the Battle Honors are very nice.

These 15's are a little big for my taste, and are more like 18's IMHO.

Cheers
Dean

Hi Tyn Man – nice paint job. Confusingly, some of the 19th Century Miniatures on their website where I was looking are Battle Honors (like the ones I was considering), while others are Oldglory15s. All very baffling for someone trying to figure out the context, and choose the right miniatures!

I myself will be going with the Battle Honors figs. I have a great amount of of early Old Glory figs that I really like, and the BH figs mix in with them nicely, as far a scale goes.

Cheers, Dean

I got these Polish figs some time ago, but don't use them because of the scale difference. That's one thing I'm a little picky about.

I don't do Napoleonics, but if I were starting out I think I'd give Blue Moon a serious look.

If you have access to a 3D printer or someone who will print fo you take a look at Napoleonic Stl. Their Polish are awesome and I had about 100 figs printed for me to match Old Glory.
