In fairness, the movie got much of the costuming correct (enough).

It's amazing how this gets every single detail wrong.

Now this could be fun to try to work out what it almost is.

Lack of any turnbacks rules out anyone of course. Chasseur style lapels, shown in the blue of the coat, pointed red cuffs. Could have been HA of the Guard but for the red collar. Two fringed epaulettes, so Major or above, but no sleeve decoration.

Agree the film uniformology was terrific (OK ignore the Duke's rig)

Perhaps we could buy one for Ridley Scott? BATB fans used to send dead roses--flowers well past their expiration date--annually to the executives who cancelled the show. Surely his film deserves the same sort of remembrance, and this seems about right.
