Either a gift, or a self-purchase? grin

Both and I am very happy!

Happy Father's Day!

I just sent in a order with Piano Miniatures for me and my son. Piano Miniatures are outstanding, but the best part is that I have a son to share them with.

Time and space. It was wonderful.

No. I never expect anything hobby related, although my ex did give me a bag of makeup brushes thinking I might be able to use them to paint soldiers. Two of them look like they will be ok for detail work.

Yes! My church gave out measuring tapes.

I have zombie hunters but very few zombies, so I purchased Project Z and it is waiting for me to collect it at my mail box. grin

My church gave out measuring tapes.

My church gave out desserts today, but I've gone keto so brought my own snack!

Yes. My son bought me a set of modern rules I was thinking about getting. Also got me Baldurs's Gate 3 on PC.

A new connector between my old dvd and new tv. So I can watch wargame inspiring movies?

rustymusket16 Jun 2024 6:12 p.m. PST

No and rarely if ever do. No matter. Not the point.

They seldom do give me things for games. This year, however, I did get an Amazon gift card. Now to go looking for something there!

My son and daughter-in-law got me a $25 USD Xbox gift card, so I can buy some new video games.

Garand16 Jun 2024 7:31 p.m. PST

Bought a model for myself.

Damon.

Not from the wife or kids. But from myself I got some 1898 30YW figs.

KevinV16 Jun 2024 8:52 p.m. PST

Great question.
I played a game of Lion Rampant with my son- he beat me!
Happy Fathers Day to everyone.

No. I don't consider it a gift-giving (oor receiving) day. A day for spending time with family, so I very much approve, Kevin!

RittervonBek17 Jun 2024 1:44 a.m. PST

Yes. Was given Gregory Ward's solo wargaming book [although I ordered it and it was sequestered on delivery until the day!].

Nope, spent the day at my daughter's house playing board games and watching movies with my grandson. Then had a lovely dinner with my 93 year old dad and my daughters family. One of the best Father's days I've ever had. Love them to pieces and don't get to spend as much time with them as I'd like!

Greylegion17 Jun 2024 7:43 a.m. PST

My daughter bought me some 3D printed models for a project I'm working on for Sludge. I got a cookbook, I've been wanting, as well.

That sound wonderful. Good for you!

I don't get, and rarely give, holiday stuff. We just buy stuff for people whenever. I have a (hobby related) weeding gift for a cuople of my daughter's friends on my painting table, and it's wierd that I have to (?) wait for their wedding to give it to them.

I did get good inspiration for a hobby project in dicussions with my peeps on FD. Now if someone coule onl gift me motivation to post stuff again (it's been months) …

Choctaw18 Jun 2024 7:54 a.m. PST

I bought an old school magnifying glass for my hobby bench and also a card table for those inconvenient times when my hobbies collide.

My kids (in their 20's) took me to play laser tag. A fun time was had firing low power, high energy weapons at each other. And I burned a lot of calories!

John Leahy Sponsoring Member of TMP20 Jun 2024 11:06 a.m. PST

i got several boxes of the 1/72 Dark Alliance Fantasy range. Eastern Cavalry (both sets), Gondor Cav and Swan knights. It was 8 boxes total. I was quite pleased!

Thanks

John
