My small collection of 1/72 hoplites are mounted on "big bases" (80x40mm) like those used in Basic Impetus.
Are there other rules that use (or could be used) with this basing size? Thank you in advance

You might like to try Alala! Hoplite warfare rules available from the Society of Ancients (soa.org.uk).

I'll second To the Strongest. Grid based so base size does not matter. Usually one or two per square. Uses playing cards in place of dice. Uses the Warmaster activation mechanic. Combat is a simple hit/save. Loads of army lists, fun chrome, and expandable to the ECW period.

DBA. Command and Colours Ancients. The various Neil Thomas Ancient rules. tbh anything grid based at all – Lost Battles, Phalanx, Legio, To the Strongest, Portable Wargame Ancients etc

The Neil Thomas One Hour Wargames rules suit small armies on big bases as you only need half a dozen 'units' for each scenario (with a 'unit' being as much stuff as you care to shove together on a 4"-6" frontage)

Hoplomachia from The Perfect Captain. Designed specifically for hoplite warfare. There is a perfect Captain Facebook group that has links to free downloads of all the Captain's rules.

Alala is perfect for this!
