Do you have your own vacuum cleaner for hobby purposes?

I have a small hand held vacuum in the man-cave. It's easier than hauling the upright up to the third floor.

I used to have a hand-held vac, but it didn't have a lot of suck, and then the battery went bad.

Then I replaced it with a full-size vac that was on sale.

Then my wife decided my inexpensive vac was better than her expensive one, so she swapped! grin

A Vacuum cleaner is a sucker for punishment!

No; worse still, my room ends up having little trails through it that are often too narrow for the Hoover to venture into.

Nope. I do vacuum the floor every now & then.

I had a non-working miniature hand vacuum cleaner that I turned into a vehicle:

Yes. I keep the old and replaced house vacuum in my painting/hobby area

I have a Dewalt HEPA vac from my remodeling days. It's nice to have the added protection when cleaning up investment dust and lead shavings from figure clean-up. Probably overkill, but it's there and saves wear on the central vac.

My old FLGS used to lay sand roads for a game and then used a hand-held vac to pick them after the conclusion.

We keep two cleaners, one upstairs, one downstairs. I use the upstairs one. So I guess that's a NO.

Absolutely! I have a small handheld to clean up flocking that I cover my game tables with. Flocked woods really define the boundaries. I also have a full-size vacuum cleaner to clean up the basement and gaming area/production area. Then the workshop has a large shop vac. I have a lot of suck around!

The Last Conformist17 Jun 2024 4:00 a.m. PST

I had one of the handheld ones, but when it broke I didn't miss it enough to replace it.

Choctaw18 Jun 2024 8:11 a.m. PST

I wouldn't mind having a handheld vac. Hmmmm…
