Interesting article, though it misses the Surcouf's main fait d'armes. It took part in the takeover of St-Pierre-et-Miquelon, 2 little islands close to Newfoundland by the Free French Navy on 24th december 1941. The operation was made with Churchill's blessing, totally bloodless, and a vote quicly legitimated it, but noienethelss it caused a severe diplomatic crisis with the US government who blamed the "so-called Free French" for it.
