I have an opportunity to visit these coming up soon, but there's some driving involved, and I want to allow for sufficient time for the sites.

Has anybody been to these? What can I expect to see? How would you rank them?

Been to Cowpens. Not much to see , some cutouts, I think a field piece. A small museum. But can say I've been there

I have been to all three.
All are good choices.

Kings Mountain is the best in my opinion because the scenery helps place the action.
You have to have some walking legs.
The battle story is quite dramatic.

The museum there is good too.

I've been to Kings Mountain and Cowpens. I preferred the former. It was a few years ago though so maybe things have changed. KM and C are close together though so you could probably do both on the same day.

I have been run to all there sites. Cowpens is the least impressive from a visuals standpoint, bit dont forget about it being a site that was arguably the turning point of the AWI. And who doesn't like Dan Morgan? King's Mountain is VERY impressive to see, a truly lovely site. Good walking lines. Enjoyable. . As mentioned above, thee two sites are very close to each other. Fort 96 is quite a distance from the other two sites. It has excellent sites to see. Excellent, for s place most people have never heard of.

You might add Guilford CH to your list.

King's Mountain for sure. Cowpens next because it is close. never been the Ninety Six. I didn't find much at Guilford Courthouse myself.
