The Longest Day?
A Bridge Too Far?
Battleground?
etc.

Battleground. They share Longest Day and A Bridge too Far. Battleground is theirs alone.

"Cadence Count" from Battleground is part of my "going to wargame convention" music.

Agreed. The only "dedicated" film is "Battleground," a masterpiece that has depths to it many viewers may not appreciate.

Agree with the assessment of "Battleground" as an excellent. I never realized they were glider troops.

Choctaw12 Jun 2024 10:42 a.m. PST

Battleground but only because BoB doesn't qualify.

Disco Joe12 Jun 2024 3:14 p.m. PST

I have seen the first two Bill listed but never heard of Battleground.

At the end of Battleground ( during the credits at the end)they are marching and the cadence has a line about fighting into the 1950s.

And we won't get back 'til the end of the war
In nineteen hundred and fifty four.
