Vive la' France ! The Ukraine has needed CAP for a long time.

Where are those Dutch F-16s ? That US leadership did not want to provide …

Not sure if we'll see the Mirage 2000s enter action until early 2025. The training alone, then having to establish a logistical train for the parts, weapons, etc., is going to take some time to establish. Just today, there was a report about the F-16s and how long it is taking to get them operational. It sounds like Ukraine wants to run them in squadrons of 18-20 aircraft, so you need at least 36 pilots. The U.S. is only training 12 at a time and other nations are proceeding slowly with their training as well. Even with Norway, Belgium, etc., contributing up to 80 F-16s by the end of the year, who is going to fly them? Not to mention who will maintain them in the field. I keep wondering why the West just didn't purchase and/or build Mig-21s, Mig-29s, etc., as at least they could jump right in them and take off!

Does not bode well for the Ukraine … Those aircraft should have been sent, pilots and maint. crews trained when Ukraine asked for them.

Did Germany send some Mig-29s?
