Very nice paint work! Beautiful dragon and rider! I would base it with something that looks decent, without worrying about base-size regulations, but that is just me. If it looks decent on a 50mm x 100mm base, no problem.

I love the dragon models available as 3D printed models, especially for their sizes. What I hate about 3D resin printed models, is they are sooo brittle!

I've purchased a number of 3D printed fantasy Human sized models I could never find from the big gaming figure makers. I've dropped many of them, and they typically break off at the ankles! These are 28mm figures, so gluing their bodies to their tiny ankles, is not much of a solution. I will need to add some support structures to avoid them snapping off again…

To be honest, there are several, very large, 3D Dragon prints I would love to buy, but paying $40 USD+ for a dragon model that would likely shatter if I dropped it, is not worth my money, nor my time to paint (not worth having a heart attack when it gets dropped, or knocked over/off the table!). I just can't do it.

Good luck with gaming with it. Gorgeous piece. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

I fear is that it will get damaged transporting them to the gaming venues I go to , the resin is pretty solid however, the wings are up at an angle and the spear is kind of bendy

Legend of Doom:
I fear is that it will get damaged transporting them to the gaming venues I go to.

Make a custom transport container for it.

Get a rigid container (e.g. food storage etc) that the model can sit inside without its wingtips touching the sides.

Cut layers of foam to fit the container. Foam cuts with scissors and can be glued with hot glue, fabric glue, or dedicated foam glue.

Stack foam as high as the wings. Cut an opening in each layer to fit the base. You want the figure's base to drop through this socket so that the wings are supported by foam and the figure can't move around in the container. It looks like the wings are irregularly spaced, if so add more layers on one side than the other and make a v-cutout if needed.

Make an additional foam stack up from the dragon's shoulders with a socket cut out for the rider to go up into, that contacts the lid of the container. Cut a slot for the protruding lance arm. If the rider is firmly enough on, you can simplify this by just stacking up from the rider's shoulders.

If you want specific support for the lance, make a separate stack of foam that sits on the dragon head and has a slot or v-cutout the lance goes into. I say separate because it looks like any socket you cut to drop the base down into leaves the lance extending into air.

Depending on how everything fits it may be worth it to glue the top stack to the lid.

Optionally, also make the lance detachable. Find suitable diameter tubing, cut say 5/8" of it, clip the lance with 1/4" protruding, glue the tubing over the stub. Now the tube is a socket the rest of the lance fits into. Paint of course. Remove the lance when transporting.

P.S. – Beautiful figure!
