Another great set from Wargames Atlantic, I got mine from Michigan Toy Soldier. This set also contains parts for Home Guard (Us weapons and obsolete British guns) Great stuff indeed! Full photo review here link

Looks nice. Is there a site that identifies each of the many various parts?

Bobgnar, I added an annotated picture to my blog. A MUCH fuller examination of the 1937 Pattern Web Gear can be found here karkeeweb.com/1937main.html

Ammunition pouches wrong for Home Guard?

shouldn't the gas mask bags be snaps next to the body?

jgawne, To the best of my knowledge they were worn high on the chest over all other equipment to guarantee easy access in time of need. Check the link I provided, the cigarette card on that page shows its position clearly

According to the few actual experts I know, they were supposed ot be worn in combat with the snaps against the chest. This prevented mud and dirt from get into the flap or snaps, and if you crawled backwards it would scrape up stuff and get into the bag. Which was a very bad thing when trying to put a mask on in an instant.

It looks a very good set and far superior to the recent offerings from Warlord in number of different torsos supplied and weapon/arm combos. Also useful stuff like a 2" mortar. Some nice touches too like a mug for a figure drinking tea! Thought the Lewis gun had no mag, but it is tucked down in the bottom left corner.

Fred, they also lack the mutant giant hands and faces that disfigure too many Warlord minis. That mug will appear in all sorts of places I am sure! If only there was a teapot.
