Nicely done. I agree, this is one of GW's best games. I have run this twice at Nashcon, and have submitted it again (though I've heard nothing back yet). Though a two-player game, It's easy to break it apart for multiple players— I simply give each player a "hero" to run, and tell each side to select a General. The closest hero to a unit capable of initiative movement controls that unit. Otherwise, it's all about the rolls. Works well, and I concur that it tends to produce very balanced results, even when the Eagles and Beorn appear. Every time I play it, it comes down to the wire. |
