Should have been done day 1.

Good. Yes, it should have been done much earlier.

Note this is only for counter-fire, and only in Kharkiv region.

Rules of engagement should read, kill the enemy, win the war.

Otherwise go home.

Given the relatively short range and scarcity of Stormshadow/SCALP, ATACMS and Patriot, I really can't see what the problem is with letting the Ukrainians do what they want with them. They are too scarce to waste on civilian targets and too short ranged to start bombarding the Kremlin.

The US tried to tell the IDF how to fight their war with Hamas.

Now the US puts restrictions on Ukraine using US ATACM long range missiles ….

Reminds me of not bombing Hanoi, until later in the water. The US Gov't told the military how to fight a war. What if e.g. the US air offensive "Rolling Thunder" hit Hanoi, etc. in '67 ?

The more restrictions[with some exceptions] will only make the war last longer. And more of your people will die …

The one advantage dictators like Putin have is complete control over their government and military.

Democracies frequently fight with one hand tied behind their back due to political worries about repercussions, or weakening the ruler's position.

The Vietnam comparison to me is perfectly valid.

As others have said, we should support Ukraine as though we are being attacked, with absolute commitment. Its cheaper in the long run and less people die.

Errata: "until later in the water." … That should read "in the war" … DOH !
