Gents, Not too unlike the Perry Bros.' Travel Battle concept, and using a square gridded system, like Mark Bachkouse's Strength & Honour ancients rules available thru Reisswitz Press, the Scipio – game within a game [the box] – has been previewed now by Warlord Games - link I'd buy this as a cheaper standalone, if that were possible (looks like it could even be played with all the S&H 2mm units bases as alternative miniatures – so therefore, probably why it's bundled in 'the box'). |

Interesting how they are pushing the plastic figure battle packs. If you like grid based games you should just get a copy of Lost battles and use your own figures. |

Nice picture report on the Scipio lite-game - link For a lot of people (talkin' new gamers here – and for some vets too), this Scipio-style experience could be one of those hobby 'endgames'. That is, these lite-style games represent as far as many would care to go into a particular era – with little-to-no painting, little-to-no extra terrain adding…… |
