The last few weeks have arguably been a period of change for the war in Ukraine, both on and off the battlefield. In Moscow, long serving Defence Minister Shoigu has been removed from that post, while a number of Russian Generals and senior figures have been arrested or otherwise removed.

Ahhhh yes, another Russian purge. About time!

jsmcc9127 May 2024 2:53 p.m. PST

Too bad Putin can't purge himself.

What's a war that Russia is involved in without purge or two.

Ascending to a top military leadership position in Russia isn't good for job security.

The Russian military has a hard time fighting out of a wet paper bag these days. Maybe if Putang sent all of his secret police to these three cities he would have a chance of success.

The main thing is that there should be no purges in the army in Ukraine. So far Russia is happy with everything)))

So far Russia is happy with everything
Does that include the Russian troops and Mercs at the front waiting to be fed into a WWI style meat grinder? And they don't even get feed daily before they die.

Cuprum228 May 2024 8:53 p.m. PST

Why feed them? After all, they were simply caught on the streets when they were trying to hide from mobilization, and were sent untrained to die in a senseless massacre for the interests of a corrupt repressive government that lives and fights on handouts from its foreign sponsors. They won't live long anyway. Consumable material.
The main thing is not to confuse the warring sides)))
