We played out yet another of Brian North's Peninsular war scenarios last weekend, the encounter at Villanueva de los Castillejos in western Spain in the early years of 1811. This one was especially interesting, pitting a smaller Spanish force (but with cavalry support) against a larger French division. The Spanish have the tricky task of having to withdraw off the table by game end, and the French need to defeat the Spanish while not losing more than three battalions.
